Week 9 Blog
Space is one of the biggest and most unknown fields in regards to exploration. The vast parts of space make it beautiful yet very scary at the same time. There are stars, galaxies, and planets farther away from us than we could ever even try to imagine. The fact that space is infinite and has no ending point makes it truly out of this world. Trying to comprehend the size of this place in my head is imposdsible and this makes it a little bit scary. The potential for life outside of earth is very possible due to the extreme size as well as the unknown.

Space has provided uswith beautiful visuals that are oftentimes seen all around us. Something that most have seen a picture or photograph of is the northern lights. The aurora Borealis are magnificent light patterns that can be seen in the sky of the northern hemisphere that are caused by the collisions of gas particles from earth's atmosphere and the suns. Many artists and photographers have used these lights as the basis for beautiful representations whether it be in their own art forms of truly magnificent pictures of the lights. Space provides us with truly out of this world pictures and images that can be seen all over the world.
Hi Jared, your insight into the aurora borealis is really unique. Its not where I was expected an article on space to go, so hats off. The lights truly are special and I see some resemblance between this example and the images we see of others galaxies taken by the Hubble telescope.

ReplyDeleteWhile space is scary and unknown, from the photos you provided, I can also appreciate the beauty of what outer space has to offer. Beautiful images and visuals such as these have a way of making the unknown, known to viewers. In a way, these images help to make outer space less scary for viewers, because now outser space is something audiences can visualize and view as art.
