Proof of Attendance

This quarter we have learned about many different connections between very different fields. For Toni Dove and specifically in her performance Lucid Possession, she connects many different topics we covered. In the presentation we are able to see her usage of robotics and how it ultimately plays in the finished piece. This presentation is about a girl named Bean who is able to connect with ghosts and spirits as well as get inside other peoples minds. In my opinion, what made this presentation so special wasn't as much the plot and storyline, but how it was presented. The use of robotic screens, lights and music made it very enjoyable to watch. 

My favorite part of it was the presentation of the ghost. In the image above, we are able to see the way in which this ghost was created. Lights were projected on this meshy screen which allowed for the spirited look. While the storyline was not my favorite, the presentation and all the intricacies involved which allowed for such a cool image was what made the overall experience very enjoyable. I recommend this type of media presentation to be experienced for that reason.
